If you have any questions about life in Ajijic, you can contact me at bwb819@aol.com.

Since it is winter in Ajijic, many homes have fireplaces as there is no air conditioning or heating systems in the houses.  Firewood is for sale along the main road.  We have used wood a couple of times.  Firewood is expensive here.

I insisted we should pack this small heater in our Jeep. We are both glad. The recently nightly temperature has been about 52-55 degrees. We have used it many nights recently.  We place it on our laundry basket by our bed for an hour in the evening. to heat our bedroom

Fruit cups and smoothies for sale.

People waiting at a bus stop on the main road.  Buses are used frequently here and are inexpensive and stop in many areas.

This beautiful wall with plants is in the gated community where Pat's friend, Aracely, lives.

This unusual dragon light is in Aracely's small gated community up the mountain side. She is a Realtor and lives in the house that she is selling.

Bob's sister, Pat, and her friend Aracely at a birthday celebration for Aracely at Roberto's Restaurant. There was a fashion show that day with fashions from a local dress shop.

This appetizer comes with every meal.  It is fried carrots and delicious!

Aracely ordered veal with a cream of spinach sauce, fresh broccoli, string beans and mashed potatoes.

I ordered fish and chips.  The restaurant has about 20 choices of American fare and lunch prices are about $5.00-$6.00.

Ladies modeling the fashions.

The waiters were definitely "eyeing" this lovely model.

This is Omar, the handsome and talented chef who is in charge of all the delicious food.

There were alot of clouds in the sky, however the sunset tonight was beautiful turning the clouds a reddish pink.

  1. Just discovered your blog. Love the pictures in all your posts. I hope to visit there within the next year, contemplating a move away from the USA so I'm reading/researching. From seeing weather data about the cooler months, you had the same idea that I've thought of should I make the move. That is to bring one of those small heaters to take the chill off (Warm Wave is the brand I've seen).
