The boys in the picture below live in our neighborhood and have no yard. We have a large yard so Pat invited them to come and practice soccer in our yard. One of the boy's father does a lot of work around our property. They come about once a week and seem to enjoy our yard very much. They are taking a break, drinking some water and talking.
A carving in the street.
This bus and many others like it provide dependable transportation to many areas around Ajijic, Chapala, Guadalajara and many other areas for very little money. Many people move to this area without a car and can get around very easily.
On a side street to the Chapala weekly market was this pottery and painting for sale.
Across the street was this home and they had clothes on display for sale for 50 cents each.
This handmade chair is on sale near the main plaza.
Having lunch with some new friends we met walking the boardwalk by the lake.
What a beautiful view!
Another view from the Lake Taco restaurant. Best fish tacos ever!
The mountain view from the restaurant. Tacos are only about $1.50 each.
Pat and I decided to have a pedicure. We walked about 2 blocks down the road and this is what the outside looks like.
Pat getting a pedicure.
Pat's Christmas flowers.
Me getting a pedicure.
I choose a more "beachy" color as we are preparing to spend the week at the beach.
The girl who did mine did such a good job on the flower and put a rhinestone in the middle.
Inside of the salon. It was fixed up really cute and about the size of a 3 car garage.
This lady wanted her picture taken for my blog as she got her hair colored and a manicure. The girdle giving the manicure is Lucy B and speaks good English. She runs the salon. Pat goes to her on a regular basis.
Flower loves to watch the action from the balcony. She looks for the squirrel who frequents our yard.
I will post more pictures when I return from Cuyulatan. I hope to get a close up of the pet "wild boar"!
