Today is Saturday.  Being retired ......everyday feels like Saturday!  We went to the Ajijic malecon and did our 45-60 minute walk by the lake.  We met 4 exchange students studying at Guadalajara University.  They were from Germany, the Netherlands and an island  in the Caribbean.  They were such a pleasure to talk with. We invited them to call us if they come back to Ajijic.  We would gladly have them stay with us.

After leaving the park, we walked down several side streets and this sweet face was on the side someone's house.

We went to the car wash run by the fish taco restaurant and had our car washed and vacuumed inside while we had a snack.  They did a great job for about $6.00.

As spoke earlier, we were invited to come to dinner by the man sitting by Bob at the Globo festival.  His wife is in the red shirt as is he.  We had a lovely time and their hospitality was wonderful. They live in a nice home with a large yard with a pool in a golf community.  They have 3 beautiful young daughters and a nice looking son.  His wife is a very good cook.  We look forward to having them over this coming Sat. evening.

In their yard was this lovely tree resembling a weeping willow with red blooms.
He said it was from Japan and is about 25 year old.  We would not see this type of tree in Ajijic.
