We parked the car about 3 blocks away, being Sunday, all the streets were crowded with cars.
Along the way were the following sights.
More unusual wall paintings.
Great curb appeal
A fountain in the plaza
Another great door.
Nice balcony garden overlooking the street.
Finally we arrive at Barbara's Bazar. People waiting for the place to open. The inside of the place was quite large , about 10-12 different rooms full of everything imaginable from furniture, collectibles, towels, sheets, oriental rugs, dishes, pots & pans, paintings, jewelry, you name it. Everything there was on consignment.
I liked this unusual half table, but way too pricy for me.
This was the cutest old door. It was only about 5'4" high. It reminded me of Alice and Wonderland as people stooped to get in the room to see more items. Being 5'1" it was perfect for me!
This was a large unusual light fixture cover. Feathers cover the bottom portion.
I loved this chair. It was so comfortable. When I glanced at the price tag...$2,350.00 (US) I enjoyed it for 3 minutes and left it there.
Unfortunately no chaise lounges to be found.
Bob was interested in finding a coffee shop so we walked to a really nice one not far away.
This man and his adorable, well mannered dog was enjoying a coffee and a book.
As we walked back to the car, we saw a beautifully restored car pulling into a driveway.
Cute dogs on a balcony.
Bob's sister is great cook and fixed shrimp, julienne carrots, cucumbers, lettuce in wraps of rice paper with sweet chili sauce for lunch. Bob, being a meat and potato man, said he felt like Andrew Zimmern (Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods) eating strange food! He is learning to be more adventurous about his meals!
We ate on the front porch since a nice breeze was blowing.
