We found at the Friday organic market the best muffins.  They are made of whole wheat, carrots, shredded coconut, and nuts.  Really moist and delicious.  So we began our day with muffins and drove to the Chapala malecon about 10 minutes away. We are walking on the different malecon's each day for about an hour.

Wonderful front door for dog lovers.

We pass this chicken cooked over a wood pit by the roadside often.  It smells delicious.

This worker is cutting down the high reeds in the lake with a blade.

At the end of the walkway that goes out into the water, you can rent one of these boats to take you riding on the lake or to the other side of the lake or to a small island nearby.

There is a lot of wildlife to enjoy.

These beautiful hand carved and painted chairs
and tables belong to a restaurant along the lake.

We decided to walk along the lake where most of the restaurants were at the foot of the mountain.

The walkway is filled with pots with flowers.

This is a beautiful old house with all kinds of unique designs but in need of paint and repairs.  It has a great view of he lake.

I'd like to take a ride in this.

The house in the at the top is very large and would have a fabulous view of the lake.

After our walk, we spent an hour in the immigration office waiting our turn to see if our "green cards" had arrived from Mexico City.  They had not, so we get to do the same thing all over again next Friday.  It will be he third time we have waited in vain.  Nothing gets done quickly here.

We decided that Friday evening we wouldn't cook, but eat out.  We chose Roberto's again as the food is great, as is the ambience and the price -2 for 1 making the meals anywhere from $10 for 2 up to $13 for 2 not including any drinks or tip.

Pat, Bob's sister, on the left and our neighbor, Melanie, who joined us.  We went with Melanie to hear some karaoke before dining.

I had grilled flank steak, french fries, carrots and string beans.

Bob had beef liver, onions, mashed potatoes, carrots and string beans.  There are about 20 different choices on the menu.
