Last evening we had our Mexicans friend, Memo, and his family over for dinner.  Bob met him at the Globo Festival as we sat next to one another. He had us over for dinner soon after and we have been enjoying he and his wife's company ever since.  We had his four children make their own pizza and watch Monster University.  It is the custom to feed the children first, then the adults eat together.  Their children are adorable and extremely well behaved.  We plan to travel to Puerto Vallarta with him next week and stay at his condominium while he is there on business. Puerto Vallarta is on the Pacific Coast about 5 hours away and his condo is on the beach.  It is Memo's desire to rent the entire property we are on when we leave for the states and in about a year buy the property.  Four of his children are below.  He also has a college age son who ate with us adults.

Today as usual began with a walk by the lake.

This is the first time we have seen this green algae on the shoreline.

It covered the entire length of the shoreline.

This bird stood about 4 foot tall in the algae.

White pelican near the shore.

There are many artists in Ajijic.  This lady was painting the lake.

Being that it is Halloween night, the two ladies across the street were getting ready for a night on the town.

This is Melanie and she is so much fun to be around.  She previously lived in North Carolina and has lived in Mexico for 8 years.

This is Linda and she recently arrived from Canada.  She had her face painted as a butterfly.

Bob and I leaving for dinner at Roberto's Restaurant.

This is the indoor seating.  We are eating in the outdoor area.  The place was once a residence.  It is a lovely place with great atmosphere and good food.  There are about 20 choices on the menu.

There was a live combo and the girls singing was great!

This is Roberto (the owner) dressed for the occasion.  He was handing out tickets for a drawing for a weekend trip to his Bed and Breakfast on the Pacific Ocean in Cuyutlan.

UNBELIEVABLE!  Bob's sister won the trip.  Woohoo!!  The place is about 5 hours away.  It has 5 bedrooms, air conditioning (a luxury here), a pool and is on the beach.  She will take Aracely and Gilberto (her best friends) with us. They are so much fun to be with. Can't wait to swim in the ocean!

We had no specific plans for dinner until Pat's friend, Roberto, called and asked us if we would be interested in coming to his restaurant and be his guests for 1/2 price.  Sounded great to us.  We love to eat there as the food is always good.
