We decided to visit the Jotopectec Farmers Market on Sunday.  We had heard that it was better than the Chapala Market.  It is about 20 minutes away and we had never been. Melanie, our neighbor, Pat, Ray, Bob and I headed off prepared to shop.  Jototecpec is a larger city than where we live.  Many people were out shopping.

Bob checking out the vendors.

 This woman was selling honey.

Piñatas, which are very popular, are hanging in the background.

Fresh fish vendor. At a fish stand in Chapala the fish were still moving!

We enjoyed shopping in Jototecpec, but decided the Chapala market was closer and has better looking produce.

This is a large housing area built on the side of a mountain on the way to Jototecpec for middle income families.  Each unit is attached to the next one.

The white building is where the federal police stay overnight when there is a problem.

This is a shelter, next to the white building, the federal police use to shoot at "bad guys" if needed. We have never seen anyone in the shelter, which is good.

We ate at Roberto's Restaurant for lunch and one of his dogs laid down by my chair.  He also has a new puppy that is adorable.

A great looking yogurt place on the main road in Ajijic.

Sunset view tonight from the balcony looking toward the back of our home.
