I have posted pictures of the outside of our home, but you may wonder what the inside is like. The house we share with Bob's sister is very beautiful. The husband and wife who owned the house are Mexican and lived in the US in California for many years. He is now in his mid 80's. His wife designed the house and wanted to retire here. She furnished and decorated it very beautifully. The house is fully furnished, but has alot of Pat and Ray's personal belongings in it also. The house is about 3,000 sq. ft., has 4 bedrooms, 2 large upstairs balconies, large covered front porch, 2 1/2 baths, living room, dining room/kitchen combination, laundry room and garage. The rooms are all very large and it is comfortable to live in. It is bright and airy. The property has 2 other houses on it. One, a 2 bedroom house and the other a 3 bedroom house which are rented also. The property is walled and has a large gate for protection. Unfortunately, the wife passed away before she was able to move in. The husband, heartbroken over the loss of his dear wife, never moved into the house, he closed it up for 7 years prior to Bob's sister and her husband renting the house and taking over the care of the property. They had a lot of maintenance to do to bring it up to the condition it is now in.
This is a picture that is on the wall of the husband and wife on their wedding day.
Our bedroom that is upstairs. It is probably about 22 x 23 ft., as is our 2nd bedroom.
Another pic of our bedroom. The love seat with the pillow is where Flower, our dog, sleeps.
Build in closets and shelving in our bedroom.
Dresser in our bedroom.
Hallway between our bedroom and another bedroom upstairs. Our bathroom is located in this hallway.
Our bathroom. The decorative container holds our bottled water to drink or brush our teeth.
The 2nd bedroom upstairs.
The 2nd bedroom also has built in closet and shelving. It has 2 sliding glass doors that open up onto one of the balconies.
Sliding glass doors to the covered balcony overlooking the mountains and the lake. We spend most of our time at home out here. It is wonderful. Bob gets his coffee and sits out here first thing in the morning...while I sleep late!
This is the living room.
Another view of the living room.
Another view of the living room and stairway to our bedrooms.
View as you enter the front door. The living room is on the left and the dining room/kitchen is on the right.
Dining Room and
kitchen combination.
As you enter the rounded front door, there is this beautiful barrel brick ceiling and light fixture.
This is the view when you look up to the open hallway on the 2nd floor.
This beautiful rounded ceiling is above the hallway on the 2nd floor.
