Last night was so beautiful.  The temperature had dropped to about 68 degrees and the full moon was so bright that it lit the balcony up as if it were day.  The sky was crystal clear and it looked as if you could touch the stars.  We sat on the balcony from 8:30 to 10:30 and saw several shooting stars.  It just felt magical!

Bob went and got his second haircut since being here.  It came to $8.00 include g the tip.  The woman does a good job and has lived in the US before and speaks great English.

Yesterday afternoon I needed  some celery and asked Bob to get some. He didn't feel like driving to Walmart, so he went about 4 blocks away to our local butcher and bought home

That's right 2 stalks of celery from the whole bunch.  You can break off as little or as many as you want to purchase!  Crazy!  It came to 2 pesos (about 12 cents!)

This is how we get our ice.  Remember these?!  And we have to fill it up with bottled water.

You may wonder if there is anything we really miss in the food department from the states.  I think Bob would say he misses eating a really good hamburger like one from Steve and John's.  I really don't miss much of anything.  I eat a big variety of fruit and vegetables, chicken, seafood, steak and of course chocolate which they have all of these in abundance.  I do miss Sonic's strawberry limeades.  I hear that they have a Sonic somewhere in Guadalajara.

We recently had to take Flower to the vet because she has had an infection in her left eye.  Both times the vet has examined her and given us eye drops.  Each visit including the medicine came to $$9.00.

Each morning we walk 2 miles by the lake and use the exercise equipment.  Today we saw a kayaking club on the lake.

Meeting and greeting other walkers.

On the way home we stopped to get Flower a ball and the shop owner had this squirrel in a cage.  I asked if they petted it and they said "no". I asked if it bites and they said "yes".  So.... why do they want it?  I hope not to eat!

Another beautiful  sunset.
