It has been a busy week for socializing.  Earlier in the week we had lunch at the Peacock Restaurant with a couple.  Bob had met the husband while walking the malecon.  The meal was great and so was their company.  They had lived in California, moved to Idaho and have lived in Ajijic for 2 years.  They live a couple of blocks from us.  They have tried a lot of the restaurants so can recommend the good ones.

As we walked to the restaurant these cars show how many people park here...really close!

This chicken walked freely through the outdoor restaurant.

Male and female peacocks roamed freely.

Another chicken looking for table scraps.

 Our new friend, Bill
and his wife, Gay, feeding the peacocks.

Lots of beautiful plants, a waterfall and in the winter months they put wood in the chimneys.

The men's bathroom has a tree growing up the wall and through the roof!

A friend of Pat's daughter, husband and 19 month old daughter stopped by for drinks and appetizers on Friday evening.  Their little girl is so cute.

Last night Bob and I tried another restaurant called the Anchor.  The hamburgers had been highly recommended.  It is difficult to find an "American" tasting hamburger.  The meat tastes different or they use odd spices. Theirs was very good...handmade and thick and juicy..no hot or weird spices!  The owner, Eric, took us to the second level with a pulapa roof where he is in the process of making a sports bar with a fantastic view of the lake.  He will have 4  large TV's, a fireplace with comfy furniture and several bars and will serve appetizers and meals.

This life size art is made of metal and was next door to the Anchor Restaurant.
