While in the market yesterday, I saw bird cages stacked with all types of birds for sale. This is not unusual for the market.  Much to my surprise, there was a cage full of male cardinals!  I did not expect to see Virginia's state bird for sale in a Mexican market!

Pat took us to meet her best fried, Arcellie.  She is a real estate agent.  She and her husband are living in a house she is staging to sell. It is in a gated community with 6 housing units. It was beautiful.  It was up on the mountain side and all rooms had large glass windows with spectacular views of the lake.  We spent the afternoon enjoying she and her husband's company.  Bob enjoyed the pool for quite a while.  As much as I would love to have gotten in the pool, I was so tired from barking dogs and loud fireworks from the previous 2 nights, that I went home to take a nap instead of swimming!

The living room, dining room and kitchen open area lead out into a covered veranda with a pool.

There are a lot of strange bugs here.  Not all friendly.  We found a scorpion and  2 black widows in the garage.  They are no longer alive! This morning we found this bug on our balcony.  It is about 7 inches long and the long straight part are its wings.  I seems very harmless.

This is the beautiful sunset looking back toward the mountains on our balcony.
